Name: Angle Grove
Very picturesque lake of 2 acres with carp to 17lb. Run by Roman Duell and costs 20.00 euro a day.

Location: Just outside Woodford Co Galway on the Allendara Road. Carp fishery

Name: Ballyhonock.,Co Cork
Nice lake of around 10 Acres. Stocked with 250 carp around 15 years ago. Very weedy in summer with fish to 12lb. Carp Fishery

Name: Ballincollig ,Co Cork
This is a disused reservoir which was used to provide water for the local power mill. Average depth of 10ft with maximum depth of 21f Carp Fishery

Name: Ballinafid.
Reputation for being a difficult venue with fish to over 20lb. Location: Off the N6 Sligo Road opposite the Fox's Covert Pub. Carp Fishery

BallyWillan, Crossgar, Co Down. Another well established carp water with fish to high twenties. Tench, Roach, Rudd, Bream and pike also present. Cost £14.00 per day.

Name: Butlers Pond
Small pond of 1 Acre however with fish over 20lb. Fishing is from the field only which has a resident bull. Due to its size the carp are spooked very easily. Long stays not advisable RE: The Bull. Location: Just outside Dundrum Co Tipperary. Carp Fishey

Name: Brooklodge
A commercial fishery which has been open for 3 years. Recently stocked with an additional 253 carp to 33lb from France. Current record stands at 31lb2oz. Approximately 60 carp over 20lb in weight. Lake is operated on both day tickets and season ticket. Location: Just outside Maynooth village on the Dunboyne Road. Close to Dublin.

Name: Corkagh Park
Fishery stocked with 550 carp. The average weight is between 2-4lb however fish to 15lb have been caught. Plenty of stands and a coffee shop.Location: Clondalkin Carp Fishery

Name: Decoy Lake
Arguably the best carp lake in Ireland due to its sizeable stocking of carp which were first introduced in 1890. Over 20 fish in the 20lb+ range with lake record currently standing at 29lb.2oz mirror. The lake is 10acres in size on a private estate. Syndicate run with short waiting list. Carp Fishery

Name: Gaulmoylestown Pond.
For many Irish Carp Anglers their first introduction to carp fishing. Well stocked with carp in the 5-6lb range with the larger fish to low doubles. First stocked in 1975. Carp Fishery

Little known about this stretch of canal. Fish ahve been reported up to 20lb with these fish originating from Gaulmoylestown Carp Fishery

Hazelwood Carp and Coarse Fishery

Hazelwood Carp fishery is located in Ballygowan just 8 miles from Northern Irelands capital Belfast and 3 miles from Comber.

The Fishery has 2 lakes the smaller being approx .9 of an acre holding a good head of common and mirror Carp other species include Pike Perch Rudd Tench and Eels the larger lake approx 1.4 acres will be stocked with various sized Carp and Coarse fish in April.

Three lakes The Dog, The Machine and The Glen. The Machine is rumoured to hold the bigger carp. Very public which can make the fishing uncomfortable.Location: North West outskirts of Dublin. Carp Fishery

Name: Sally's Lake
Relatively unfished venue of 12 Acres. Carp rumoured to have been caught to over 20lb. Stocked in early 90's.

Location: Killykeen National Park first on the right hand side as you drive in from the Killashandra road in Cavan. Carp Fishery

Name: Stephenstown Pond
Approximately 6 Acres in size well manicured day ticket fishery. Average weight of fish 5lb. Location: Just outside the town of Knockbridge on the R171, 16 miles from Adree. Carp Fishery

Name: The Lough
Situated in a public park with a walkway around the entire lake. Good stock of carp with this lake currently holding the Irish record., Location: Cork. Carp Fishery

Willis Lake, Finaghy, Belfast. 4 Acre lake which contain carp to 16lb. Quite difficult due to the amount of tench present. Free
